Texans for Truth krijgen geld uit Hollywood

Daniel O'Keefe, schrijver/producent van onder andere de Drew Carey Show en Seinfeld, heeft de Texans for Truth, links, onafhankelijk van John Kerry en erg anti-Bush, verblijd met een check van 100.000 dollar. De Texans for Truth zijn momenteel druk met het aanvallen van Bush vanwege zijn duistere diensttijd in de National Guard. O'Keef zei gemotiveerd te zijn in zijn donatie door de activiteiten van de Swift Boat Veterans for Truth: "I'm a conservative Democrat, but this administration is out of control, and I've never seen dirtier politics than the Swift Boat stuff, and the hypocrisy of that when you have an honest-to-goodness American hero being torn down by the shadowy minions of a powerful family that helped a wayward son avoid his military obligations so he could party in the woods of Alabama. I didn't think I could as a citizen do nothing."
De Texans for Truth haalden sinds de oprichting op 31 augustus al 400.000 dollar op van minstens 5000 contribuanten.
